245lot going on here, lets talk about terfs and the protect kids crowd
tx for homophobia and pedophilia
“GAY MEN ARE ALLOWED TO LUST AFTER MALE CHILDREN! I’M RECLAIMING THAT FOR WOMEN!"damn, that’s awful, who is this person?
Greer started her promotional campaign earlier this year when she opined that the rise in representations of sexual violence on TV was due to women’s enjoyment of watching other women being sexually assaulted and that women fantasised about being subjected to sexual violence.
She followed this up with comments on the #MeToo movement, which include her claims that women raped by Harvey Weinstein were “career rapees” who “spread their legs” to get movie roles.
Germaine Greer has called for the lowering of punishment for rape and said society should not see it as a “spectacularly violent crime” but instead view it more as “lazy, careless and insensitive”.
She suggested that a fitting sentence for the offence might be 200 hours’ community service and perhaps an “r” tattoo on the rapist’s hand, arm or cheek.
Speaking at the Hay literary festival, the feminist academic argued that rape is rampant in society and the legal system cannot cope with it because it always comes down to the issue of consent, with the victims becoming little more than “bits of evidence”.
wow that is fucked, but surely she would be rejected from feminist circles for this? SURELY!
NOPE, GOT A FOLLOWING
so lets look at what these people are following
While The Boy may not be as self-promoting as Madonna’s book of nudes, Sex, it will play to several of Greer’s public concerns, especially what she sees as the abuse of young boys and girls by pornographers. On the personal level, she has never hidden her own attraction to males. Asked on Canadian television a few years ago what attracted her to boys, she said: "Oh, everything - sperm that runs like tap water will do.”
She also confessed to having a relationship with her own “boy”, although she declined to give any details or say whether, at the then age of 60, she had found true love in young arms. “I want to take what this man is offering and be content with that.” It is unclear whether the relationship is still going.
also the model for the cover of her pro pedo book was used without his permission, he sued for her to stop, and she WON
@dirhwangdaseul @socialistexan @el-shab-hussein @midians-world
anyway, twitter is infested with her defenders who have emerged from the dirt like worms after the rain
They are STILL defending her
@el-shab-hussein @gotinterest @midians-world @dirhwangdaseul
“Only men can be pedophiles
it’s so patently obvious she’s just trying to find ways to justify herself but people giving her the berth for it???? this world is truly going to hell whole like why keep. humoring her why do people keep finding things when it’s the same over and over again, she wants to. openly harm children no middle ground. idk. how pedophiles think we don’t see how their words are as dangerous as their actions, they ofc know it but are people gonna be as stupid as to let it become a physical. harm as well????

21309I really hope people online aren’t getting the wrong impression of unions and that they’re flawless Things that will protect them from any and all mistreatment and that strikes are fun little treats union workers get
Unions are People not Things. Union leaders can fuck up. Unions can definitely operate in a way that gets you low wages and poor benefits if you’re not being represented well.
A union by itself does not guarantee you anything. Unions take work and money to run. You pay dues, you go to meetings, you vote. You protect each other in a union. You don’t join a union and magically have everything taken care of for you.
Strikes are a powerful tool but are scary. They’re not a goal to achieve. Unions don’t aim to go on strike during negotiations.

11091If you love Tree Law, the beloved subreddit is open again. I highly recommend sorting by top/all time.
To clarify after some questions:
(American) Tree Law is very satisfying because the cases often involve someone damaging trees that don’t belong to them, usually for an aesthetic, mercenary, petty, and/or spiteful reason. However, American tree law comes down like a HAMMER on such people, and they will get mighty fines. If the tree dies, in fact, they’ll be on the hook to replace the whole thing, and as it turns out, trees ain’t cheap. As the article above summarizes one incident in Reddit terms:
To rephrase it as an AITA post: am I the asshole if I cut down 32 trees on my neighbor’s property, but instead of just charging me a $32,000 fine, now they’re going to make me build a road and find transplanted, equally mature trees to replant?
Tree Law is perhaps one of the few branches (I didn’t even mean that to be a pun) of American law where self-entitled wrongdoers WILL face consequences. NBC Universal wants to maul a row of city-owned ficus trees to deprive striking workers of shade during a heat wave? Oh boy.

32718The most important information below, if people are not clicking through to the article:
While Shein has faced many lawsuits in recent years, the newest complaint is notable for its Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) claim. RICO is a federal law designed to combat organized crime in the United States, and individuals or organisations can use the RICO Act to file civil claims against racketeering activities performed as an ongoing criminal enterprise.
Another requirement to file a RICO claim is that the offending party is not just an individual or business but a criminal organization, as the suit claims Shein’s alleged infringement activity is “committed not by a single entity, but by a de-facto association of entities.”
The plaintiffs claim that Shein’s “confusing corporate structure” allows the company to “avoid liability” in the case of intellectual property infringement, adding that the brand’s “first line of defense” when facing a copyright or trademark cease and desist is “removing the product from its sites with blaming the misconduct on another [Shein entity] actor (implying such actor is independent).”
As a result, the artists have accused Shein of “multiple acts of racketeering and criminal copyright infringement” and are seeking past and future damages, as well as compensation for legal fees and injunctive relief to “prevent further racketeering activity”.(via numfarofthedeathwokclan)

This is hilarious, because I know for a fact that when a white person in China randomly runs into another white person in China on the street, they immediately start trading tips on which obscure and out of the way store on the other side of town (probably run by stealth ILLEGAL Christian missionaries) will sell you a block of Kraft cheese for 300 RMB.
Whoever got hold of that godawful lunchable surely had to go on a quest to do so.

10882It’s legit. Section 11.G “Opt out” explains how.
I just did this, and Etsy doesn’t actually tell you anywhere on the site how to find your username (it’s randomly generated), which you need to opt out, so here’s how to do that:
https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/115015653248-Your-Username
the main point is “The URL of your profile page contains your username. It looks like this: etsy.com/people/[your username]”(via trash-supernova)
